Congrats David and Ashton

My brother David married the love of his life on Saturday at St. Patrick's in Seattle in a "simple but noble" ceremony, in the words of Fr. Daniel. It really was a beautiful day. Ashton made the most stunning bride I have ever seen, and the attire and decorations made it a perfectly magical Winter wedding. While no wedding goes without glitches, it was a day to remember for all the beautiful moments and the visibly evident love that the bride and groom had for each other. I couldn't be more happy for the two of them.

Although we were both tired by the end of the night (chemo, pregnant...it really does take a toll on a body's energy level), we had such a good time. And Andrew was absolutely thrilled that he still had a full head of hair for all the pictures. We did have one random person giving us a hard time for leaving at ten o'clock. "Is Dave's sister really leaving this early?" We just told him that "we have an excuse" and decided not to make the poor guy feel terrible by saying "well you see, he has cancer and just had a chemotherapy treatment a couple days ago...you can see why we're tired..." It just felt really good to take a nap the next day.

So, CONGRATULATIONS to the new Mr. & Mrs. David Leopold!
