Today we met with our real estate agent and the previous owner to go through the house for a final walk-through. It was nice to see the house without all of their stuff in it so we can picture what it will look like with our stuff in it next week. But oh my goodness, we can't believe all the stuff they're leaving behind for us! Cleaning supplies, lawn fertilizer, weed killer, a hedge trimmer, roto-tiller, paint, a ladder and a step-ladder, the island-on-wheels, and the list goes on and on...! That will definitely help us save some money as we get started on home-ownership and keeping up the house and yard.
That was the exciting part. Then came the scary part.
We went to the bank, watched our account drop as we got the cash to close and headed to the escrow company to sign all our paperwork. I almost thought AJ was going to pass out when we walked away from the bank. And then we saw the mound of paperwork waiting for us at escrow I expected it once again. Impressively we both managed to survive and we signed the next thirty years of our lives away ;)
Check out our picassa album to see pictures.
