Just a few things

A few things to note this week:

  • I know some amazing fathers - my dad, my grandpa's, my father-in-law, my husband.  I hope every wonderful father I know had a truly happy father's day.
  • This was Andrew's second father's day since Gabbie was alive in the womb this time last year.  How awesome that we've each already gotten to celebrate two father's and mother's days!
  • Prepping for a big garage sale is a LOT of work!
  • Clearing out all the junk that clutters up every cupboard and closet and drawer of your home can feel really really liberating.
  • I make a mean Healthy Homemade Baked Macaroni and Cheese (with a spicy kick).
  • Gabbie LOVES mommy's mac 'n' cheese and even eats the peppers and onions!
  • Gabbie is super cute (this we already knew).  Lately she's been holding out on kisses but will randomly stop whatever she is doing and crawl over to mommy or daddy just to climb up and give a big hug - SO AWESOME!  Also, she loves reading stories and turning the pages on her own.
Some new things Gabs is doing:
  • reaching her hands above her head when you ask "How big is Gabbie?!...SO BIG!"
  • laughing hysterically when she sees Nikki chasing her tale.
  • giving "high fives" that are sometimes more like "high tens."
  • unfastening the velcro on her shoes which used to be how we kept her socks on...hmmm

  1. Just wanted to note that DADDY LOVES mommy's mac and cheese just as much as Gabriella

  2. Aww, so sweet!! Love all the cute updates. Glad you guys had a good Father's Day. And aren't the "random acts of affection" THE BEST? John started doing those in the last few months too..he'll give us huge smiles accompanied by open-mouthed gummy kisses and big bear hugs around our necks. LOVE his innocence and love. Enjoy your sweet little girl!!
